The major aims of with which this museum was established include socio-economic betterment of the craftsmen of India, publication of related research documents, revival of fading traditions of the country, conservation of the traditional crafts and accumulation of craft-specimen from all over the country.

By Air

The Delhi's airport lies at a distance of 30km from the museum, so you can easily hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw which will take about forty-forty five minutes to take you to the museum.

By Rail/ Road

The museum lies in close proximity of the New Delhi railway Station and the ISBT. From both these points, you can hire an auto-rickshaw or taxi, which will take about 15 - 20 minutes to reach the museum.
