The renowned name in the field of art was inaugurated by Roshen Alkazi in the year 1977. This gallery regularly organizes exhibitions displaying the works of famous artists all round the year.

History

Roshan Alkazi and E. Alkazi established Art Heritage in the year 1978. Entering into an area which was non-existent, austere and less significant, they put all their efforts towards the development of modern art through a record breaking performance of more than 150 publications and exhibitions, together with special talks on appreciation of arts and artists. Art Heritage keen focused on the differentiation of art appreciation and art awareness.

Delivering intellectual counterbalance and vision to art scene, the keen eyes of Alkazi’s and his art reading is dated back to many years in several associated fields like theatre. Being a famous theatre director in the city of Mumbai, Alkazis were in close relationship with Progressive Artists Movement during its early years. After its movement to Delhi in the year 1962, he was extended an invitation to lead National School of Drama. Being a strong personality towards the development of NSD for about 16 years, he raised NSD as leading teaching institute in India. Alkazi, being a continuous learner, designed various theatre courses involving multi-disciplinary arts.

During late 70’s, Alkazi focused on encouraging young and amateur artists. He delivered good support and acumen towards their growth as mature artists. He is definitely ideal gallerist/patrons who shaped the identity and contour of modern Indian art.
