Uncovering the sign of this cell, Mr. Singh applauded the Delhi Police for introducing transparency and upgraded supervision by using computer systems.

There is an advanced system called the Complaints Monitoring & Tracking System which comprises of automated network. It further links to offices of the police headquarters and other Deputy Commissioners of Delhi Police. According to the system, the details of lodged complaints are stored in the computer systems at different locations and then are diverted to bank data where the information is then stored and regularly updated. Every single complaint is numbered and analyzed by the senior police officers to make sure that necessary action is put in consideration.

With the help of this network, the police staff gets access to the personal information system, certain status of the filed cases which are still in line in court, as well as perform analysis of the crime trends in assorted parts of the city Delhi. Even they can get information on their applications which they have filed for applying loans or any medical bill reimbursement so that they know how much time will be taken in processing them. The police is also planning to initiate and introduce more applications in such system at the police station aiming for smooth functioning.

People who have filed any complaint can now check the status of their applications between 10 am to 5 pm on any working day. These are accessible from any district’s complaint cell. To facilitate this, single window complaint enquiry cell has even been introduced on 1st floor of the Delhi Police Headquarters.
