Police Control Room

Apart from 122 motorcycles, the Police Control of Delhi Police has stationed 630 PCR Vans all across the capital city. Police assistance can be sought by anyone in distress simply by contacting the Police Control Room on telephone number 100. 24 hour assistance is provided by MPVs to girls/women found stranded. Also, between 10 pm to 6 am, broken down vehicles are towed to the nearest workshop by the MPVs. In cases of emergency, PCR Vans reach the places of event in 10 minutes in urban areas and within 20 minutes in rural areas. Women can avail help through the HELPLINE available round the clock at telephone nos. 1091, 23490130 and 23317004. Dedicated help lines have also been set up for senior citizens, people from North East and for students at the telephone nos. 1291 and 1091. People can pass on information related to criminals or crimes at the help line 1090 and the identity of caller will be kept confidential if the need be. Action is taken by concerned agency to which the call is passed on.
