The Child Welfare Committee

The only department that works for the matters related to the necessities of child care and protection is Child Welfare Committee abbreviated as CWC. There is a committee that is formed individually for a district or also formed for two or more districts. Each committee comprises of a chairperson along with four more persons with at least a woman among these four people. This committee gives a final say when it comes to any of the cases that could be related to care, safe guarding, curing, growth and recuperation of children and also helping them with their day to day requirements and making then aware of the human rights. This committee also works for providing support to children who have been rescued from any kind of perilous jobs, brothel, obnoxious families or other situations where their rights are not safeguarded.

The children who need support are moved to Child welfare homes for their rehabilitation.
