Paytm Wallet can now be used to recharge Delhi Metro Cards

If you were standing in long queues for recharging your Delhi metro cards, it is time to welcome a new change. With the help of Paytm Wallets, it is now possible to recharge your metro cards very easily online, effective 4th March. The feature is so easy that you can recharge your cards even while you are travelling somewhere. Now you can visit DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) and choose Paytm wallets as your choice of payment. Along with debit cards, credit cards, net banking you will now be able to see Paytm Wallet as one of the options of recharging your card.

How to use your Paytm cards for recharging your Delhi Metro cards?

There are two types in which you can recharge your Delhi metro cards through Paytm wallets. They are:

  • Visit the website of DMRC and choose Paytm as the chosen method of payment while recharging
  • You can also recharge your cards through you Paytm App
  • Open the Paytm App
  • Navigate among various tabs until you find a tab named Metro
  • Choose the city of operation (Mumbai or Delhi). In Mumbai, Paytm wallets are already supporting metro card recharges. In Delhi, this service is operational from March 4th only.
  • Enter your Paytm Card Number and proceed to payment.

What to note?

Making Paytm cards compatible for refilling Delhi metro card gives metro passengers only an additional method of payment. At the moment, this facility doesn’t replace metro cards at all. Replacing these cards is a different project, work on which is going on, in full swing.
