IIT Delhi to Hold Mega Science Festival

IIT Delhi is all set to organize a Mega science festival in IIT Delhi in its campus in December in association with Vijnana Bharati known as Swadeshi Science movement that is working towards ancient science and modern technology implementation in India.

About 3000-4000 people would be coming for the event from 4th December to 8th December. It is expected that PM Narendra Modi would inaugurate it.

It is christened as “India International Science Festival” and another major partner is department of science and technology. Vijay Bhatkar, chairman of board of governors of IIT Delhi is heading Vijnana Bharati.

Kshitij Gupta, official director of IIT told that the sessions would consist of interaction with scientists, science film festival, and expo award function to showcase the innovation models along with young meet of scientists in IIT Delhi festival.

RSS minded scientists initiated Vijnana Bharati of Indian Institute of Science and is known as country’s largest science promoting body conducting various activities.

Livestock management and innovative agricultural practices are some of the theme of this event.

Baba Ramdev this year had discussed cow’s importance at a programme while speaking about rural issues. By inviting Ramdev has triggered and raised eyebrows for controversy.

Gupta said that there should not be any objections associated with the groups as far as the objective of addressing the issues through involvement of technology and science is concerned.

Gupta also reacted while highlighting the steps taken during the year in the campus to the surrounding controversy supported by IIT Delhi in Mauritius.

The present dispensation had questioned the campus’s legal stating and Gupta had refused to talk about it rather has blamed the government for their uncertainty to start the venture.

He suggested while asking to collect IITs running expenses that any kind of hike shall be considered 2-3 years from now.
