With summer holidays on, it is time for mommys out there to plan something to keep the child from pestering the usual “ Mom- I am bored” while the first week of vacation can be spent visiting the neighbours and relatives nearby, still we are left with 40 odd days for the school to reopen. This is the time when the parents have to plan something to refrain eh child from gluing to the TV or disturbing the neighbours. We bring here the list of top 20 Summer vacation camps in Delhi.

While some time can be set aside for writing practice, outdoor games and an hour dedicated to idiot box, at least a couple of hours at summer camp can be relieving for the child and mom to

Music Workshop at Mozartsy for the age group of 1-5 year old helps the parent to bond with child. Located at Safdarjung enclave, the workshop enhances the child’s phonetic awareness, expressions and hand-eye coordination. They expose the kid to western and Indian musical instruments and a bit of paper craft musical instruments.

Dance Classes: Ashely Lobo’s daceworx Located at Greater Kailash I area of New Delhi teaches the little ones the routine dance moves. Trained instructors are hired to train the kids in various dance moves.

Art and Origami: here the kids are busy colouring the sheets of papers, practice lines and listen to stories as well. Organized at Delhi Habitat Centre, this camp is meant for kids above 5 years and is conducted under the aegis of veterans of respective fields. It is a great platform for kids to take part in their dreams.

Photography: the Delhi Photography club conducts the annual workshops for kids in age group of 8-14 years. A basic digital camera is the requirement to let the kids hone their photography skills. The workshop is a mix of outdoor and indoor sessions which teaches the basics of white balance, composition, posing and other stuff

Robotics: for all the budding engineers out there…the Robo club conducts the summer workshop near Nehru palace. The spirit of team work is taught apart from creating interesting models. There is no other thrilling activity than creating a robot with the kids own hands.

Room to Grow: this is a one-stop education hub for children aged between 4 and 10 years. It provides a space for kids to explore their art or craft of interest while also making new friends. Animation workshops, public speaking skills are some of the other activities.

Day Camp: Conducted at Shemrock school, summer turns this school where kids love to go. They teach best out of waste. They also learn to make their own breakfast while identifying the required ingredients. It is organized across the branches of the school in city.

Baking Classes: organized by the Choko La at Khan Market, this is the place where kids learn to bake chocoloates without eating them though. Baking warm cookies, cupcakes and watching cool videos are the highlights of this camp.

Theatre: join your kid at Barry John Acting studio if you see another Hrithik Roshan in your kid. The kid can also come to classes with their own script or pull one out from the stack. It basically focuses on teaching team work and developing confidence in children of 8-16 years.

Reading: Reading caterpillar library teaches the kids to read and inculcate the art of story-telling in kids of age 2-8 years. This helps the kids to retain the art of reading without depending too much on technology.

Activity Camp: this camp stimulates the problem solving in kids of age 3 to 7 years. In association with Jumpbunch Inc, this camp aims at exploring the little Picasso in the kids. Diving underwater and action packed sports are some of the highlights.

Football Camp: if your kid is a next Messi, then do join him in ClubEscola, (FC Barcelona's football school), to train him under Spanish coaches. It is a unique combination of training on pitch couples with on-field techniques.

Art Classes: Sameer Hazari's Art classes teaches the basics of painting, drawing, colour mixing and more to the kids aged about 7 years or more. Kids are taught to pick themes from surroundings, look up the internet and bring material to the class without any inhibitions.

Akshara Theatre Festival: for kids above 4 years, this theatre festival has become a routine since 15 years now. Action packed itinerary allows the kid to explore their wild imaginations includes talks, painting, writing, quizzes, film screenings and so on. Artistic gymnastics is also a special offering for interested ones. The traditional side is also encouraged with Sanskrit reciting, yoga, dance and craft.

Hamleys Camp: sand and shell art, Puppeteer, origami sea world lure the kid to spend more time at Hamleys camp than at home. It is more than a toy paradise with hand-on experience in a world of flying.

Magic Creations: basics of all the performing arts can be learnt in a month’s time at Magic creations located at Gurgaon. The kids in age group of 15-16 years can learn from a galore of options like the theatre, clay crafting, story writing, painting, puppetry and many more.

Mogly’s Gurukul: Indian music, wonders of the world, animal yoga, art, cooking, crafting and Animal kingdom workshop are conducted at Mogly’s Gurukul in Gurgaon for kids between 2-8 years.

Bubbles and Blossoms: This child centric summer camp is themes weekly to let the kid explore and experiment on activities like flavor fest, pottery, photography and so on. Different sessions are conducted for kids of age group 3 to 10 years. This is located in Sohna road of Gurgaon.

Little Cheflings: To see your tiny tot wearing the hat of a chef and wrapping the apron, join them in the Little Cheflings workshop at Green park extension.
