The Delhi State Assembly Elections is due to happen on 7th February 2015 and the political scenario in the national capital is already heating up. The three main parties, Congress, BJP and AAP are thinking of various political strategies so that they can field the right candidates to woo the general public and win the elections. One of the chief parties in the city, AAP (Aam Admi Party) has fielded the entire list of 70 candidates for the elections. The party has also announced that its convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, as its chief ministerial candidate. At this point, it is critical note that Kejriwal was the CM of Delhi for 49 days During December 2013. His resignation made the State Assembly to get dissolved and brought about the President’s rule in the city.

Now with the President’s rule coming to an end, the state is now all set to gear up for the State Assembly Elections. The Congress Party, which always follows the process of fielding its candidates only at the time of nominations, has now announced the first list containing 24 candidates who will contest in the elections. The party is fielding its senior candidate and previous CM of Delhi, Sheila Dixit, as its chief ministerial candidate this time as well. The BJP, on the other hand, is riding high on the Modi wave that has taken the country by storm and is buy working on some attractive measures to attract the voters. The party is yet to announce who its chief ministerial candidate would be. With all three parties working in full swing, it would be interesting to see their performances in the upcoming Elections.
