World is a family and Yoga unites all but not CM Arvind Kejriwal and LG Jung

Like Indian Prime Minister Modi, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had been practising yoga for a very long time. He joined Prime Minster in the Mega Event with his presence much before the appointed time. Despite the world campaigning the International Yoga Day is all set to unite one and all, it is not so in the case of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and LG Najeeb Jung.

Jung and Kejriwal avoid each other

He joined the mega event at Rajpath on Sunday and arrived well in advance than his bete noire Jung. As per VVIP arrangements, both Kejriwal and Jung were to be seated two chairs away from each other. But fresh out of their turf regarding appointments in Delhi Government, decided to join the gathering by performing asanas rather than being mere spectators of the event.

Accompanied by Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal arrived at the venue and as media rounded up for a talk, Kejriwal preferred not to go to assigned seat but took a yoga mat and prepared himself in a zone facing South Block. Before the event started both Jung and Kejriwal posed selfies with fans but conspicuously avoided each other.

HR Nagendra with his two Disciples - PM and CM

Few months ago, it was reported that Kejriwal took a 10-day Yoga therapy session at Bangalore’s Swamy Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Samsthana to get rid of chronic cough and control high sugar levels.

Apparently Mr Modi advised Kejriwal to attend therapy at the said Institute under guidance of co-founder yoga guru HR Nagendra. But since Nagendra was seated on the Dias with Prime Minister, he was unable to see how his other disciple, Kejriwal performed 15 asanas during the event. However, eye witnesses sensed that Kejriwal was well versed at Yoga by looking at the way he was twisting and bending his body.
