US Based Taxi Hailing App Uber Launches Auto Rickshaw Service in Delhi

Auto rickshaws in Delhi have been the preferred mode of commuting, inspite of cab aggregators like Ola and Uber providing competitive rates for cabs. Uber cabs emerged after a four month hiatus on the uncertainty of its cab services ad launched the Uber Auto which charges the user based on fares fixed by the Delhi authorities. As of now the Uber auto rickshaw service is available in Delhi only wherein the commuters can book their autos using under mobile app and pay in cash. The unique feature of Uber Auto Rickshaw Service is that while booking an auto, the passenger need not mention the destination and the auto drivers are trained not to reject the booking made through Uber sites. However for cab services, user will have to mention destination and pay electronically as usual.

The existing product of availing auto rickshaw services is made better by adding Uber experience while the government is yet to set guidelines on regulating the auto aggregators. Users can also rate the auto drivers. This is a step towards increasing the user base of potential customers of one million users of Auto Rickshaws in Delhi alone and all cab aggregators are poised to enter auto service space sooner or later.
