Swachh Delhi Abhiyan - Delhi Government Launches Swachch Delhi App

Arvind Kejriwal, chief minister of Delhi recently introduced the Swachh Delhi application that enabled the residents to acquaint the authorities with images of garbage. He also introduced the Swachh Delhi Abhiyan which will run from 22nd Nov to 30th Nov. the union minster Venkaiah Naidu together with Kejriwal shall introduced this campaign which will focus on cleanliness drive, an initiative of the Delhi government and central government coupled with 3 municipal corporation of Delhi.

The Swachch Delhi App is now functional and has empowered the residents to click images of dirt and garbage and inform the central control room which shall then direct the respective government officials to consider the complaint and take action. This mobile application can be easily purchased or downloaded. Give a missed call on 7666400400. The user will then get a message that will have a link to download that application, informed Kejriwal in one of the occasions.

Once any user uses the application and shares the images, the government will automatically trace the location and take respective action. So in a way, the application is intended to be convenient for the local bodies and the residents in tracking exact location precisely and get it rid of garbage. The Municipal Corporation shall be held accountable for collecting the garbage while the PWD shall be liable for debris collection. The information sent through this application shall reach the central control room which has database maintained. The deputy chief minister and three mayors of Delhi’s Municipal Corporation were also present at this event.
