If you feel that travelling in Delhi Metro has become very unpleasing, then here is the good news for you. We know that during the peak hours, there is great rush at the metro station, wanting to rush inside the metros, even though the trains run at very with great frequency. While during the non-peak hours, the train’s frequency goes down, still there is no legroom for the individuals due to metro trains being over-crowded.

If this has been your prime concern, then Delhi Metro Services is offering an extended hand. As per the top source of the AAP led Delhi government, a final conclusion has been reached that post 15th September, the frequency of Delhi Metro in Peak Hours should be increased during all times of the day.

The government’s reasoning is that whenever commuting becomes very difficult, it motivates the travelers to give up metro and take up their private vehicles. When the Delhi Metro Railways Corporation argued that this will result in loss. As per their calculations, the metro should have minimum number of sitting and standing commuters. However the government brushed aside this pilot run and said that this should be tried for at least 3 months first before finalizing anything. They concluded that they must increase the frequency of Delhi Metro in Peak Hours.

To motivate people to take metro, Delhi Metro Services is now increasing the frequency at all times no matter it is peak or non-peak.
