255 Vulnerable Routes were spotted for Women in Delhi

Finally call on safety of women proved to be useful when the Home Ministry discovered approximately 255 new routes. All these routes are in close proximity to the eating hubs and entertainment. Keeping in mind the safety of women in Delhi, the Delhi Police has been asked to intensify their patrolling on such routes. This direction has come up as a result of one high level meeting where L.C. Goyal was main official along with some other officials of Delhi Police.

The Union Ministry even ordered for illumination of diverse dark spots, fitting of CCTV cameras, at shopping malls and parking lots considering the safety of women in Delhi. Apart from this, there are civic agencies appointed who would carefully install the CCTVs adhereing to the respective jurisdiction. Infact a new scheme called the Business Area Watch Scheme is being launched which is a community proposal introduced by Police in Delhi.

The energetic member of this scheme shall look forward towards funding the installation of CCTV cameras, its maintenance as well as operation. These CCTV cameras would also be installed in institutional locations and markets. The Business Area Watch Scheme has been launched already at Civil Lines, Dariba Kalan and Greater Kailash
