How NGOs Started in Delhi

The history of the city of Delhi speaks about the various NGOs operational. The history of India speaks about its friendly approaches during the time of crisis. The voluntary services provided by the country to any other country at the time of need have been spoken since ages. Initially these services were mostly carried out by the people who were inclined towards the religious beliefs.

The main belief behind such kind of services was linked as the service to mankind is a direct service to God and was considered as one of the ways to acquire spiritual redemption and many times to penance the sinful act. In the past, there were various rulers who have adopted this method of walking on the trail of service to their other companion or colleagues and later have espoused this as a mission of their lives.

The kind of support provided is based on discrete, ephemeral and transient. The formation of groups that aimed towards working the humanity was initiated during the late 18th century and early 19th century. These groups were formed with motive to make the services regular and permanent.

During current times, the number of NGOs has been increasingly drastically. The functioning of NGOs operations has also deemed involvement of state in prosperity and benefit of its people and subsequent involvement in thepositive parts of the society for social benefit and incorporation. Through different parts of country there are numerous voluntary groups that work towards welfare of society by rendering their support both psychologically and financially.
