Bus Depots

There are close to 150 buses that are operating in Delhi from the bus depots. The number of passengers that travel on these buses are around 0.12 lakh every day. The onward and return journey undertaken by these buses are around 0.50 lakh km per day, out of which the inter-state routes are up to 0.27 lakh km and intra state buses cover up to 0.23 lakh km. There are around 661 people working in the bus depots in Delhi.

The bus depot was established in Delhi during the year 1984, on 1st April. The administrative department of the depot is set up on an area of about 2.14 acres. This area houses the workshop of the depot too. Currently, the building where the bus depot is located was officially declared open during 1993.
