    http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/broadband.htm and download the form.
  •  Customers can also send the request via e-mail:

    [email protected].
  • Those who are not comfortable with calling up MTNL or sending e-mails can visit the customer service offices and ask for details. The facility is also available at Sanchar Haat offices of MTNL.
  • To apply for the services, no payments to be made at the time of booking.
  • Based on your request, an MTNL official/MTNL DSA will come to your premises, get the form filled and signed.
  • As per the technical feasibility, the broadband services will be activated within 15 days of the application. If there are any technical problems in the area with respect to any non-availability of service, MTNL will keep a waiting list.
  • Once the modem or router or CPE is installed, the account is active.

Requirements at your End

What required is just a MTNL landline number. In case, customer does not have a MTNL landline, then he will have to obtain one by applying for it first. After that, the procedures are the same as mentioned above.

Other Requirements to be met by the Customer

  • A USB port in the PC of the customer.
  • For multiple users using a LAN system, an Ethernet port with RJ 45 is required.
  • The PC operating system has to be Windows 98 or above.
  • The hardware components have to be 128 or more RAM, HDD with minimum 500 MB free disk space, a CD ROM, a USB port and LAN card.
  • If the customer’s PC does not have a USB port, the customer should get it installed on his own.
  • If the customer is equipped with his own Customer Premises Equipment or CPE, he can confirm the same with MTNL. Call the Customer care centre mentioned above. It can also be done through the website at
     http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/broadband.htm.

Important Communication

  • Allocation of a username or a user ID: MTNL uses the MTNL landline number as the user name or the user ID for the broadband connection. If the landline telephone number of the customer is 22221876, then the username or ID would also be 22221876.
  • Allocation of a password: MTNL provides a password to the customer which can be used while he uses the services for the first time and thereafter, he can change the password as her his choice.
  • Allotting e-mail IDs: MTNL also allocates free e-mail IDs as per the plan chosen. The customer can reach MTNL either through http://register.bol.net.in or call customer help centre at 1504/22221504. The toll free number is 1600-111-172. The customer can also send them a mail at [email protected].

While there aren’t any rules or restriction for making e-mail IDs, the only care that the customer has to take is that the ID should not begin with a numeral and there shouldn’t be any special character or symbol used. The ID can have both alphabets and numerals.

  • The customer will have to do upgrade or reconfigure LAN infrastructure on his own.
  • Another point to be noted by the customer is that the IP addresses provided to them cannot be ported and they will remain the property of MTNL.
