New Delhi World Book Fair 2015 Starts from Feb 14

Singapore and Korea will be in focus in the Book fair in New Delhi which began on 14th February. The guest country Singapore and focus country Korea will come together to make books reachable to the common man during the world book fair 2015 in Delhi. The theme emerging voices from North East India will include a range of discussions, interactive sessions with authors and eminent literary personnel from across the world. With a humble beginning in 1972, the book fair in New Delhi has emerged as one of the grand international events in Asia. The focus will be laid on cultural milieu from North east region which enables people to feel the books by way of writings, films and historical perspectives.

Inaugurated by Smriti Irani, Minister for Human Resource development, and the World Book fair 2015 in Delhi will go on for 9 days at a stretch under the supervision of National Book trust in association with India Trade promotion organization. Literary honchos from around the world will take part in the panel discussions at Rights Table and discussions on issues of Indian publishing industry will be held as part of the programme. There are many other events organized as part of the literary fest which will also see presence of Cricketer Virendra Sehwag. The literary integration of books which are otherwise not available or available in other languages will be attempted at the Events corner by Singapore.  The core habit of inculcating reading amongst adults will be rejuvenated during the 9 day long festival.
