The New Delhi Metro Services were recently introduced at the Jahangirpuri – Samaypur Badli which is an extension of the yellow line. It is expected that metro will be functional here on Sunday 8 am, 2 hours post the general weekday timings.

The representative of Metro Corporation of New Delhi said that this step was directed towards better management of the maintenance facilities, in way it is done at the other section of Badarpur-Escorts Mujesar which has Violet Metro Line.

A step towards great accomplishment!

Metro from two originating stations Jahangirpuri and Samaypur Badli shall start at 8 am every Sunday only. This decision will be considered and sealed by 15th November. Infact it is proposed that the service should be facilitated on other days of the week too, starting 6 am. At present Jahangirpuri is one significant terminal on this Delhi Metro Yellow Line which extends till Huda City Center of Gurgaon. With addition of this metro line, the length would become 49 kilometers.

The whole metro network which includes the airport express line shall now become 213 kilometers having 160 stations. This indeed is a prominent accomplishment for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. As per the DMRC official, it will take one hour twenty minutes to travel from Samaypur Badli metro station to Gurgaon’s Huda City Center Metro Station. The chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal together with Venkaiah Naidu, Union Urban Development Minister shall ceremonially wave the flag and inaugurate the services at the yellow line at Delhi’s metro headquarters.
